Should we use “B” Oil before or after moisturizer? “B” Oil can be used on its own or before your cream moisturizer. You can also mix 1-3 drops into your moisturizer. 

Can “B” Oil be used for fungal acne? It can be, but please note that none of our products can be considered medical treatments for fungal acne, so we suggest consulting with your physician to see what may work best for your skin.

Why one might choose B Oil over Rose Hip Oil or vice versa? Rose Hip Seed Oil will be a great choice if you are concerned with anti-ageing. B Oil is an excellent choice for overall hydration.

My Marula oil has gone cloudy. Is it out of date, or is it safe to use? The shelf life of our products is three years when unopened and stored at room temperature. This is the regulatory threshold for testing. Upon opening, please refer to the period-after-opening (PAO) symbol to identify the lifetime of the product.

2. How do I choose the right oil? First, decide on your main skin concerns/targets and check the chart above to find the best oil for them. If you have a shop that sells The Ordinary near you, I recommend popping in and trying them all out and smelling them. If you just want a nice, simple oil that is super hydrating with no strong scent, then I would personally recommend Squalane.

3. Which Ordinary oil is the best for anti-aging? I would probably recommend rosehip or “B” oil.

4. Can I mix oil in with my moisturizer? Yes, you can.

5. How long do the oils last once opened? They last 6 months. I personally recommend wiping the neck of the bottle after use.

How To Layer The Ordinary Oils

You would apply these oils after your water-based products and before heavy creams. You could also add a drop of oil to your moisturizer. It is also possible that you may just cleanse and add an oil for a very simple regimen.

Once opened, these oils should be used within 6 months. If you pass this amount of time, use your own judgment as to whether it´s still good or not.

My Favourite The Ordinary Oils

I have tried all the oils, and my favourite is Squalane, followed by Rose Hip Seed Oil. Squalane is such a wonderful oil and fabulous on the lips, too. I personally don´t like the smell of Argan Oil or B Oil.
